Snow day 2: time for BSG!
Yesterday we watched some BSG, but Matt had homework to do so we cut it short. Now we're just going to BSG it up until Top Chef! Currently watching "Resurrection Ship Part 2." Lee is being super emo.
Last night the Quorum of Five (errr, Kyle, Jordan, Matt, Rachel, and I) decided where we are going for spring break! Kyle has this awesome condo time share thing, that allows him to stay in one of hundreds of fancy hotels all over the world. We discovered that airfare is expensive as hell during spring break, so we opted for somewhere we can drive to. We're going to Hot Springs! I've never been, but I hear it's pretty cool.
I need to call Ross Edward again. I think they were closed yesterday, because I called before my appointment and no one answered. I still want to get my hair cut! I did buy hair color yesterday at least.
I gave blood on Monday, and I was still too tired yestreday for a workout. Today though I think I will get my belly dancing on. I've been very good with eating the last couple of days. I'll probably be treating myself to a new dress by the next ladies' night at this rate!

A new day of the week
This morning I went to brunch at the caf with Matt and Rachel. It was pretty tasty and I learned about an APO event that I think I will go to.
Then I went over to the Collegian office. I just wanted to help them get on their feet for the first issue of the semester. I'll be back later I suppose. It's nice to know that I don't have to be there all day on Sunday. It's like gaining a whole new day in the week!
I just finished doing level 1 of 30 Day Shred, the DVD Adrienne got me for Christmas. It kicked my butt again, but not as hard as the first time. I think I will go for level 2 next time.
I think I'm going to make a hair appointment this week. My hair is getting a little long for my liking. I'll probably dye it again, but first I need to find the hair color.
Well, I'm off to watch Battlestar Galactica again. I'm rewatching the whole show before I start watching the new episodes, so please don't give me spoilers from the last couple of weeks if you have already seen them.

Ladies' Night!
Last night a bunch of us girls (Ashley, Claire, Danielle, Emilie, Erin, Kate, Katie, Kelsey, Meagan, Rachel, and I) had a ladies' night!
We got all fancied up (I wore the dress from Adrienne's wedding), and ate at a nice downtown restaurant called Lola's at the Bowery. It's sort of a Mexican fusion place. The decor was very nice: all dark red with lots of candles and drapery and "Dia de los Muertos"-type paintings. It was extremely dark though, almost too dark to read the menu.
I ordered the pollo adobo with a big scoop of goat cheese (yum!), and it was really tasty, though I can't vouch for its looks as I couldn't actually see it. I also finally tried scallop after seeing Jamie cook them every week on this season of Top Chef. I wasn't exactly impressed.
Then we went back to Danielle's place and drank girly cocktails: white Russians, mudslides, amaretto sours, vodka sours, and a delicious grapefruit and peach concoction. Eventually the boys crashed the party though and it devolved into the sort of screwdriver and PBR affairs that college parties usually are.
Well, it was certainly fun while it lasted. We're hoping to make it a monthly occurence, so I definitely have fun times to look forward to in February!
